Monk Facts
The Edgware is a five-eyelet oxford with punched toe medallion. Known as a ‘plaintoe’, the Edgware does not have a line of stitching at the toecap, which accentuates the sweep from the throat down to the toe and gives the shoe its sleek look. The subtly punched toe medallion provides a welcome touch of decoration and gives aesthetic balance to the Edgware’s design. Crafted on Crockett & Jones’ hugely popular 348 last, it has a chiseled square toe that lends it a sharp, contemporary look. An excellent work shoe, the Edgware also pairs beautifully with a more casual outfit. Founded in Northampton in 1879, Crockett & Jones a fifth generation family-owned company. Representing the finest in materials and workmanship, Crockett & Jones’ Goodyear welted shoes are 100% made in England.
